Do you think you might like to be a Parish Councillor? Elections are held in May every 4 years starting from 2007 so the next elections will be in 2011. You will need to get 2 people to nominate you but all the forms and information will be available from Bradford.
As you will have read on the other pages here, councillors sometimes resign, and the Parish Council tries to fill the vacancies by election or co-option.
It is a good idea to go along to meetings to see what the Parish Council do.
